Hero Grow 2048
Last updated: October 9, 2026 (added information collected by the advertising services)
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Hero Grow 2048 ("the app") handles information about its users.
The app is a puzzle game in which you merge number tiles to defeat monsters (formerly "2048|Ranking Number Puzzle"). You earn experience points by defeating monsters and can compete on rankings with your Endless score.
2. No account registration
The app does not require an account. It does not collect your email address, real name or phone number.
To tell players apart on the rankings, the app uses anonymous sign-in from Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) to issue a random identifier for each installation. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
If you delete the app, the identifier changes. After reinstalling, you are treated as a different player on the rankings, and your previous records cannot be carried over.
3. Information sent for rankings
Only if you join the rankings by choosing a name, the app sends the following to Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) and stores it there.
- The ranking name you chose (up to 12 characters)
- Your Endless score, the number of monsters you defeated, and your level
- A copy of your level, experience points, number of stages cleared, number of monsters in your bestiary, and Endless best score
- The anonymous identifier and the time of the record
Your ranking name, score, number of monsters defeated and level are shown to other players. Older versions of the app (1.x) send your score, the largest tile you made, and your level. Please do not use your real name or anything that identifies you.
If you do not choose a name, none of this is sent. The game is fully playable without the rankings.
3.1 Reporting names
You can report an inappropriate name on the rankings. When you do, the reported name, its identifier, your identifier and the time are sent. The operator reviews reports and may replace inappropriate names.
4. Information stored on your device
The following is stored on your device.
- Level, experience points, stages cleared and Endless best score
- Your bestiary (how many of each monster you have defeated)
- The battle in progress (board, stage and the monster's remaining health)
- Your ranking name
- Sound and vibration settings
- Scores that have not been sent yet
On Android, this information may be included in Google's backup if you have enabled it on your device. Your level and other data may be restored when you reinstall the app.
5. Analytics
To improve the app, it uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC). Information such as the following is sent in a form that does not identify you.
- App opens, screen views, stage clears, and the end of each game (mode, score, level, monsters defeated and stage)
- Device model, OS version, app version, language and approximate region
The advertising ID (IDFA or the Android advertising ID) is not used for analytics. For how ads handle it, see "8. Ads".
6. Crash reports
To investigate crashes, the app uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC). The location in the program where the crash occurred, the device model, the OS version and the app version are sent.
7. Abuse prevention
To verify that requests come from the genuine app, the app may use Firebase App Check (Google LLC). For this check, information about the legitimacy of the device and the app is sent to Apple and Google through Apple DeviceCheck and Google Play Integrity.
8. Ads
The app is free, and it shows ads to cover its running costs.
- Banner ads: shown at the top of the home screen and the game screen
- Video ads: shown on the battle screen only when you tap the button yourself (watching one gives you one more Undo or Remove)
Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) and Unity Ads, provided by Unity Technologies. To deliver and display ads, these services may collect information such as the following.
- Device type, OS version, language, approximate region and IP address
- The advertising identifier (the Android advertising ID)
- Information about ad impressions and clicks
- On Android, whether certain apps (app stores such as Google Play) are installed on the device
The ranking name, scores and level stored by the app are not passed to advertising companies for ads.
On iOS, the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is therefore unavailable, and ads are not based on your interests. On Android, you can reset or delete the advertising ID in your device settings.
For how the advertising services handle information, see the Unity Privacy Policy.
9. Sharing with third parties
The operator does not sell or provide your information to third parties, except as required by law and except for the collection by the advertising services described in "8. Ads". For how Google LLC handles information in the services above, see the Google Privacy Policy.
10. Deleting your data
- Information stored on your device is deleted when you delete the app.
- To request deletion of information sent for the rankings (such as your name and scores), contact the address below. It will be deleted after confirmation.
11. Children
The operator does not knowingly collect personally identifying information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when necessary. Changes will be posted on this page.
